Powered by a 2.2-liter ECO2 diesel engine that delivers 163 HP and 400 Nm of torque, the 2014 XF is capable of up to 57.7 miles gallon and a CO2 emissions figure of only 129 g/km. On the performance side, the diesel vehicle has a top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h) and can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standing start in 10.5 seconds.
The diesel 2014 XF sports an eight-speed automatic transmission, extended navigation system features and new exterior paint colors, including Osmium and Dark Sapphire. Also, the Intelligent Stop-Start system will be used on the XF for the first time, and Jaguar claims its Twin Solenoid Starter will do a tremendous job helping to reduce emissions and improve fuel consumption.
“The 2014 XF with this revised engine calibration opens up the unique Jaguar ownership experience to a whole new segment. Cost-conscious drivers, business users and fleet managers will be able to enjoy the refinement, luxury and seductive design of a Jaguar while benefiting from its low emissions and high fuel efficiency,” said Jeremy Hicks, managing director of Jaguar Land Rover UK.
