The BMW X1 will receive several updates for 2014 focused on refining the its appearance and improving its internet-based mobility services.
Externally, the BMW X1 is set to receive a slightly revised front apron and LED daytime driving lights, as well as new alloy wheel designs. Voguish metallic brown paint will also be added as an option. The lower rear bumper edge is finished in stainless steel.
Inside, the surface of the 2014 BMW X1’s instrument cluster will be covered with a soft-touch material, when the car is optioned with the BMW xLine, Sport Line or M Sport packages. New interior trim options, consisting of gloss black, matt red or pearlescent chrome, also aim to improving the cabin ambience.
BMW says the X1’s infotainment system will be enhanced with a new internet-based function added to the car’s ConnectedDrive option. When ordered with a navigation system and BMW ConnectedDrive, X1 owners will be able to subscribe to the BMW app store, with updates and new features (including an Online Entertainment app) being transferred to the car through an owner’s smartphone.
