Porsche 911 Carrera, Carrera 4 exhaust recall affects 47 cars in Oz

A total of 47 Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 models have been recalled locally due to a fault with the cars’ exhaust systems.

According to the official recall notice published on ACCC website, the Porsche 991 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 vehicles built between November 3, 2011 and November 14, 2012 were fitted with rear mufflers that may crack over time potentially leading to the separation of the muffler from the exhaust pipe.

“If the defect occurs, the exhaust tailpipe may become detached and pose a hazard to other road users,” the recall notice says.
