Buick’s LaCrosse was revealed in front of the journalists, prior to its expected launch in New York. Although it still looks like a LaCrosse, there are significant changes which are aimed at providing more refined luxury.
The brand has been known for its design leadership and its technological innovations, and this vehicle has been developed keeping these two factors in mind. The new vehicle has improved interiors as well as improved exteriors. It has advanced safety technologies as well as enhanced in-vehicle connectivity.
The exteriors look appealing with the new front and rear designs, the signature wing shaped LED daytime running lamps and the LED wraparound tail lamps. The interiors have been enhanced with newer seats, newer central instrument panel and the all new console.
The cabin also has the next generation IntelliLink infortainment system, attached with intuitive controls as well as natural voice recognition. Safety precautions have also been care of to the fullest. The vehicle comes with the side blind zone alert, the lane change alert, the lane departure warning, the forward collision alert, the rear cross traffic alert and the automatic collision preparation. All the models are also equipped with the QuietTuning engineering process.
The vehicle comes in two options, front wheel drive and all wheel drive. And the two powertrains offered are: 2.4L engine with eAssist light electrification technology or the 3.6L direct injected V-6. They are both paired with the six speed automatic transmission.
The vehicle will make its public debut at the 2013 New York International Auto Show whereas it will go on sale in the summer of 2013.
